Grants

Grants are awarded from a variety of our funds to address needs and opportunities. Community Foundation grants are awarded annually to support programs improving quality of life in Middle Tennessee. In the past 22 years, The Community Foundation’s overall grantmaking has totaled $600 million to community programs and institutions. We also facilitate two grant programs related to the arts enriching communities and students’ lives.

Scholarships

Scholarships are established by donors and administered by The Community Foundation to benefit students from particular schools, attending specific institutions or entering certain fields of study. Community Foundation scholarships help support education vital to students’ futures and a healthy community. In 2012, we awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to students, thanks to the generosity and vision of donors.
