CoreCivic recognizes the potential of its employees and their families, and the company is dedicated to supporting their efforts at personal development. The CoreCivic Scholarship benefits the employees of CoreCivic as they expand their skill set and further their education.
The selection process will balance merit and financial need with an emphasis on financial need. A history of extra-curricular and civic participation will be considered. Preference will be given to CoreCivic employees with a record of prior military service. Recipients must attend an accredited junior college, college or university. Students who receive a CoreCivic Scholarship may reapply for successive years of support but such support shall in no way be guaranteed. To be considered, students who are reapplying must have a GPA of no less than 3.0. Students pursuing an undergraduate degree may receive no more than four annual scholarships.
