As Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO, Heather Romero provides high-level administrative and strategic support to the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer while also serving as the primary coordinator for Board of Directors activities and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. She manages executive scheduling, communications, meeting preparation, and confidential information with professionalism and discretion, while overseeing board operations including agendas, meeting logistics, governance documentation, and board communications.

Heather plays an important role in supporting organizational priorities, streamlining operations, and helping maintain strong relationships across the Foundation’s network of board members, donors, partners, and community stakeholders.

“I am inspired by my role at Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee because it allows me to support work that creates meaningful and lasting impact across our communities,” says Heather. “It is rewarding to know that my work helps support efforts that improve quality of life throughout Middle Tennessee and empowers communities to thrive.”

Outside of work, Heather enjoys cooking gourmet meals for her family, relaxing by the pool during the summer, songwriting when inspiration strikes, and spending time with her three beloved fur babies.
