Amy Fair serves as Senior Director of Philanthropic Partnerships at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT), where she oversees relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, and government partners as part of the Foundation’s Enhanced Philanthropic Services. With nearly 25 years of experience, she specializes in managing complex gift transactions, supporting families in multi-generational giving, and developing charitable giving tools such as a Philanthropic Resource Library and educational events. Amy’s career began in fundraising for higher education and community foundations at Ohio State University and the Columbus Foundation. After moving to Nashville, she joined CFMT, where she has expanded her role to include public/private partnerships, charitable estate planning, and opening over 150 charitable funds.
“I stumbled into the world of community foundations before I had a chance to explore much else as a possibility for a professional career,” says Amy. “This is the best thing that could have happened to put me on the path that has connected me to the community and allowed me to witness and support such generosity firsthand.”
Amy’s time away from the office is spent enjoying Nashville’s greenways, Metro and State Parks, the broad range of arts and cultural events available in the community, and the few remaining school PTO volunteer activities that remain before she reaches empty nest status. She also enjoys her roles as a fundholder and participant with the Women’s Fund’s Girls Give Initiative and as founding and grant committee member of Impact100 Nashville, a women’s giving circle that has given away more than $1 million during the last eight years.
