Mr. Ron Corbin

Ronald L. Corbin is retired VP of the Southern Region of the Allstate Insurance Company. He enjoyed a 35 year career at Allstate and empowered 2,000 employees in five states to transform the Southern Region of Allstate into a 1.6 billion dollar juggernaut. Ron’s career was highlighted by his induction in the TN Insurance Hall of Fame and the Apollo Leadership Award for communications during Hurricane Katrina. He led the largest publicly traded insurance company in the US through the largest natural disaster in the history of the US, Hurricane Katrina. Ron’s critical skills were invaluable as he balanced the needs of multiple stakeholders in a highly regulated environment and created the types of “win-win” scenarios necessary in a corporate governance role.

Among his many past/current honors and recognitions, included are; past board chair of 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee, past Leadership Nashville, General chair and board of trustees, board of directors for the African American History Foundation, past board chair for Tennessee Performing Arts Center, president and CEO of Armor Concepts, principal of RBBC Holdings, current member of board of directors for Studio Bank, recipient of the prestigious Martha Rivers Ingram Arts Visionary Award 2019 to name a few. Ron is a Vietnam Veteran honorably discharged and his life’s work has been to help serve and empower individuals and stress building stronger communities through engagement and giving back. He and his lovely wife Brenda have two adult children, Brandon Corbin and Courtney Corbin Simon and three beautiful grandchildren.
