Eligibility: The selection process will balance merit and financial need with an emphasis on financial need. A history of extra-curricular and civic participation will be considered. Preference will be given to CoreCivic employees with a record of prior military service. Recipients must attend an accredited junior college, college or university. Students who receive a CoreCivic Scholarship may reapply for successive years of support but such support shall in no way be guaranteed. To be considered, students who are reapplying must have a GPA of no less than 3.0. Students pursuing an undergraduate degree may receive no more than four annual scholarships.
