This scholarship fund is a part of the CFMT General Scholarship Application that is open annually from December 1st to February 1st.

The David Williams II Scholarship for Equality and Equity was established to recognize David Williams II as a champion for equity. His brilliance as an educator and attorney along with his commitment to achieve equality created lasting change and a roadmap for others to further his goals. This Scholarship shall be awarded annually to an African American student, from the Nashville, Tennessee, or the Detroit, Michigan, areas, that embodies the spirit of Mr. Williams and is committed to improving their community through education and/or law. The recipient shall receive a one-time award and must be either a law student at an accredited law school
or a graduate student in education.
