Bethlehem Centers of Nashville’s Community Garden 2021:

Bethlehem Centers of Nashville is located in a designated “food desert” in Nashville meaning the community surrounding the Bethlehem Center campus lacks access to a full-service grocery provider where fresh fruits and vegetables are available. Bethlehem Center has been creative in addressing the “food desert” issue by offering an annual teaching garden on our campus for children, youth, seniors and families attending Bethlehem Center. The produce grown in our garden is used for nutrition and teaching kitchens for children and seniors and some produce is provided to North Nashville families. Bethlehem Center expresses sincere Thanks to Ms. Brenda Huff and Franklin Road Academy’s Turner Fellow Program for this fruitful partnership.
