How Deep Partnerships Make More Possible

Bold new initiatives in Middle Tennessee show how deep partnerships make more possible.
In 2024, two bold initiatives launched in Middle Tennessee, rooted in one shared belief: when the right partners come together with trust, a shared vision and a sense of urgency, transformative change is possible.

Hannah Davis, The Nashville Catalyst Fund Board Member and Housing Division of Metro Nashville Planning

The Nashville Catalyst Fund, created in partnership with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and CFMT, is bringing public, private, and philanthropic sectors together to address Nashville’s affordable housing crisis. With $76 million in initial capital, the fund made its first investment to preserve affordable housing in Madison, marking a powerful first step in reshaping access to housing for future generations.

Monique Hodison, Nashville Early Education Coalition Advisory Council Member and childcare center director

Meanwhile, the Nashville Early Education Coalition (NEEC) is tackling another urgent need. With over 60 percent of families struggling to find affordable, high-quality childcare, NEEC brings together leaders from education, government, business, and philanthropy to strengthen support for children and families. With early momentum from a network of dedicated partners, the coalition is building the infrastructure needed to create lasting, system-wide change for Nashville’s youngest learners.

Both efforts show what’s possible when we are able to bring leaders together to do what no one individual organization can do on their own. The Nashville Catalyst Fund and NEEC are reminders that real change takes trust, shared effort, and a collective willingness to try something new for the good of the whole community.
