Yulissa Cordero Mata serves as Scholarships Manager at Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, where she supports the administration and coordination of CFMT’s scholarship programs. In her role, she works with students, donors, and internal teams to help ensure the scholarship process is clear, organized, and accessible. She also continues to support Hospitality and Human Resources, bringing a steady, service-oriented approach to work that connects people with the resources and information they need.

Yulissa enjoys identifying gaps and building processes that make work more efficient and supportive for others, while contributing to both organizational effectiveness and employee wellbeing within CFMT.

“I care deeply about how systems shape people’s day-to-day experience at work,” says Yulissa. “Being able to help create processes that support clarity, consistency, and a sense of care is what makes this role meaningful to me.”

Outside of work, Yulissa enjoys spending time with family and friends, sipping boba, antique and thrift shopping, cooking authentic Mexican dishes for loved ones, writing poetry, and going to concerts.
