The Village is an incubation space for grassroots community organizations that empowers leaders from marginalized communities, identities, or lived experiences by providing a safe space to thrive, connect, and access vital resources, wisdom, funding, and power. Shakina Stacy leads this impactful work, drawing on her extensive background in media communications, specializing in public relations and social media management, as well as her experience in program management focused on the growth and development of Black-led and minority-led nonprofits.

Shekinah is driven by a passion for embracing and fostering change.

“The Village’s and CFMT’s commitment to not only modeling, but also embracing the change it wants to see in the community drew me here and is exciting to be part of,” says Shekinah.

Outside of work, Shekinah enjoys engaging with the arts, including theater, poetry, and museums. She also loves traveling, sushi, Pilates, and church.

The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.
