Brandi is a Community Impact Program Associate, primarily supporting our nonprofit community through Giving Matters and Community Impact Grants. A Nashville native and MNPS graduate, Brandi earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design from Cumberland University and a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership, with a focus on Career and Technical Education, from Tennessee State University. Early in her career, she gained valuable experience as a college advisory board member, intern, and teaching assistant at the Frist Art Museum. She later took on the role of Engagement Coordinator and chaired the Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) Taskforce. Brandi transitioned into educational programming at the National Museum of African American Music, where she developed programs highlighting the history and culture of African Americans through music. These initiatives targeted youth, students, and a broad audience, aiming to foster an appreciation for the arts. During her years of experience with nonprofit organizations, Brandi collaborated with educators, community partners, and interns to build pipelines for diverse students interested in arts education and creative careers.
Brandi was drawn to CFMT’s intentionality of bringing forth change that is long lasting, and the genuine interest to learn and invest in the people and organizations that want to be a part of that change.
“As a person who is people-driven, I am honored to join an organization that is always looking for the good in the community,” says Brandi.
Brandi enjoys reading, drawing, painting and listening to music in spare time. She loves attending concerts and is a fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football and basketball. She finds comfort in watching classic Hollywood films and television shows along with documentaries.
