This scholarship fund is a part of the CFMT General Scholarship Application that is open annually from December 1st to February 1st.

Eligibility: Applicants must be graduating seniors, undergraduates, and/or graduate students currently enrolled in college/university and alumni of any high school located in Giles County, Tennessee. Applicants must have a grade point average of at least 3.0.

Barbara Hagan Richards grew up in Pulaski, Tennessee where her father had the drugstore on the square. After studying library science at Peabody College, she raised her family in Nashville, but always maintained her ties with Giles County, Tennessee. She and her family established this Fund to encourage young people to pursue an education, just as she encouraged her own children.
