The Girls Give Initiative

Empowering the Next Generation of Women in Philanthropy

Inspired by Women’s Fund Advisory Board members who wanted to introduce their daughters and other young women in their families to the importance of philanthropy, Girls Give was created to inspire the next generation of changemakers through giving, learning, and service.

Today, Girls Give brings mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and other family members together to learn about philanthropy, volunteer, and participate in the grantmaking process while supporting opportunities for girls across Middle Tennessee.

Become a Girls Give Family

  1. Establish a named Girls Give Fund with a one-time gift of $5,000.
  2. Give your fund a name that reflects your family’s values, honors a loved one, or celebrates your legacy.
  3. Participate in volunteer and educational experiences curated by The Women’s Fund, designed to learn, serve, and give back together.
  4. Take part in the Girls Give grantmaking experience where your family helps recommend grants supporting Girls Growth & Opportunity initiatives across Middle Tennessee.
  5. Inspire the next generation of philanthropists by discovering, together, the causes that matter most to your family.

Since 2018, over 40 Girls Give Funds have been established representing over 100 women and girls of all ages. A minimum, one time, $5,000 donation establishes a named designated fund within Girls Give allowing donors and their honorees to be part of a collective community committed to the common purpose of supporting girls in Middle Tennessee.
