Yulissa Cordero Mata joins Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee as a Guided Work Experience Associate, supporting the Scholarships, Hospitality, and Human Resources teams with a primary focus on HR and internal operations. In her role, she assists with employee onboarding, personnel and benefits records, and policy development. She supports systems that promote clarity and smooth day-to-day operations across the organization.

Yulissa enjoys identifying gaps and building processes that make work more efficient and supportive for others, while contributing to both organizational effectiveness and employee wellbeing within CFMT.

“I care deeply about how systems shape people’s day-to-day experience at work,” says Yulissa. “Being able to help create processes that support clarity, consistency, and a sense of care is what makes this role meaningful to me.”

Outside of work, Yulissa enjoys spending time with family and friends, sipping boba, antique and thrift shopping, cooking authentic Mexican dishes for loved ones, writing poetry, and going to concerts.
