Heather Marabeti joined CFMT as Vice President of Philanthropic Services, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience in donor engagement, stewardship, and strategic development.
During her 24-year career at Vanderbilt University, Heather served as associate vice chancellor of development services, where she led efforts to amplify the university-wide impact of engagement and philanthropy. Her work spanned development communications, prospect research, strategic initiatives, talent management, and stewardship — always focused on building meaningful donor relationships and collaborative teams.
Earlier in her career, Heather worked in public service, serving as special assistant in the West Wing for Vice President Al Gore and as associate director of presidential personnel for President Bill Clinton, overseeing political appointments. She later served as deputy chief of staff for Al Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign, leading daily operations and administrative strategy.
When asked what drew her to CFMT, Heather shared:
“The opportunity to work with a team of Philanthropic Services professionals at CFMT was particularly appealing and squarely in my wheelhouse,” says Heather. “My service-oriented philosophy is built on fostering productive partnerships with development and engagement teams. I was drawn to CFMT’s commitment to make more possible through a powerful collective of donors.”
Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering on her daughter at tennis matches.
