Because people change people I would like to answer by saying: Me and the others that are honored here today. We represent a few of those factors because of what we understand. We understand that we are passionate about the people we serve and we know the severity of the need for the resources we bring to people’s lives. We understand that we must start young and remove the stigma of “you’re a child you don’t need to be worried about money” or “make your own money for you and don’t worry about no one else.” We understand that Blacks been brilliant, strong and able to handle a multitude of complexities and excel. Therefore, we understand that we must lift as we climb to help to those along the way. We understand that if we are Kings and Queens then “heavy is the head that wears the crown”. We understand that we must continue to look to the future through vision and make it our mission to help Blacks in all facets of health. Financial health, Social health, Spiritual health, Environmental health, Mental health, Political health and Physical health, just to name a few.

The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.
