This scholarship fund is a part of the CFMT General Scholarship Application that is open annually from December 1st to February 1st.

Eligibility: This Fund benefits underrepresented medical, dental, graduate or nursing students from Meharry Medical College or Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Students focusing on research or a career for the purpose of achieving racial and ethnic health equity will be a priority. Candidates from both institutions will be considered.

History: This Fund was established in memory of Dr. Linda P. Hare, who contributed significantly to efforts to increase the diversity and support of underrepresented students at both the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Meharry Medical College.
