Elsie Marshall embodied the strength and deep compassion of a true Southern matriarch. Residing in King George, Virginia, alongside her husband, World War II Veteran Hugh Marshall, Elsie dedicated her life to her deep faith, her family, and her community. She successfully raised six children in a modest home, instilling in them timeless values of hard work, resilience, and patriotism.

Elsie’s home was a haven of love, music, and cherished stories. She possessed an unparalleled gift for making every child—whether her own, her grandchildren, or those she cared for—feel uniquely important. Her passion for music was ever-present, often heard ringing out from her garden, her front porch, and her church choir every Sunday. She remained a proud and dedicated caregiver to her veteran husband until his last days.

The Inspiration: From Song to Service

The Elsie Marshall Charitable Fund was established by her grandson, Kevin MaC and Kim Wagner (Board Chair and business partner), who sought to transform his grandmother’s enduring spirit into a force for good. The foundation is directly linked to the values Elsie instilled in Kevin—values he believes the world needs now more than ever: unconditional love and steadfast support.

The genesis of the fund is rooted in a song Kevin wrote about his grandmother, which also inspired the Elsie Marshall Whiskey brand. The Fund serves as the philanthropic arm of this legacy, ensuring that every song, story, and glass of whiskey supports a greater purpose.

Our Mission: Lifting Up Children and Service Members

The Elsie Marshall Charitable Fund is focused on giving back to the two causes Elsie held dearest: children and those who protect our nation’s freedom.

How We Make an Impact

Financial Support for Critical Care

We mobilize donations to provide financial support and gifts to vital national and regional organizations, including:

  • St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
  • Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD)
  • A Soldier’s Child Foundation
  • And many other vetted veteran and child-focused charities.

The Healing Power of Music

Our commitment extends to active engagement. We organize dedicated visits to Children’s Hospitals to share the comfort and healing power of song and music. Through these personal engagements, we offer moments of joy and loving encouragement to children and their families during their most challenging times by giving them the opportunity and access to musical instruments with other gifts to give a reason to learn and grow everyday with passion and a purpose.

Partnerships and Promise

Through the strategic partnerships cultivated by our founder, Kevin MaC, including relationships developed during his work with Mark Cuban and Shark Tank for his company TikPik, “The Guitar Pick That Sticks,” we ensure that every contribution is amplified for maximum impact.

Our foundation uses the power of music, legacy, and community to share a love that remains alive today. By donating, you help us carry forward Elsie Marshall’s memory and ensure her spirit continues to lift up those who need it most. We sincerely appreciate your consideration in supporting our mission.

The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.
