Established 2021
This scholarship fund is a part of the CFMT General Scholarship Application that is open annually from December 1st to February 1st.

Eligibility: To award a current high school senior at Greenbrier High School, enrolling in a four-year college or university, with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. This will be a renewable scholarship, but it is not guaranteed with students reapplying each year for the scholarship. A preference will be given to students pursuing a degree in science or the medical field.

Dr. Charles E. Mayes grew up on a farm in Robertson County, Tennessee. He attended Austin Peay State University for his undergraduate education and Vanderbilt University for medical school. He was a cardiologist in Nashville for most of his career. This fund fulfills a wish he shared with his family, which was to establish a scholarship fund for students from Greenbrier High School in Robertson County.
