The Women’s Fund Forum

Overview

The Forum, hosted by The Women’s Fund, is an annual gathering designed to engage, educate, and inspire action around the most pressing issues facing women and girls in Middle Tennessee. Each year, it convenes community leaders, policymakers, experts, and the public to focus deeply on a single theme, sustained over two years, to spotlight systemic challenges and foster solutions that extend beyond grantmaking.

For the next two years, The Forum will center on maternal health in Middle Tennessee. In our first year, with the guidance of Dr. Tobi Amosun, Women’s Fund board member and Deputy Commissioner for Population Health at the Tennessee Department of Health, we will explore Tennessee’s first-ever Maternal Health Strategic Plan through a panel discussion.

By examining the data, highlighting the key factors influencing maternal health, and discussing the concrete goals outlined in the state’s plan, this conversation will deepen our community’s understanding of maternal health challenges and equip us to identify ways we can contribute to meaningful progress in Middle Tennessee.
