Serving Those Who Served: Understanding Veterans’ Needs

Join The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and fellow donors for a lunchtime field trip to Operation Stand Down Tennessee, a hub of veteran-focused programs at the corner of 12th Avenue and Edgehill.

Why It Matters

Tennessee is home to nearly 400,000 veterans, with more than half living in Middle Tennessee. Many have returned to civilian life facing challenges that range from employment and housing to mental health and community connection. Thankfully, a network of nonprofits is working every day to provide the support and services our veterans need and deserve.

Details:

  • Tour the Operation Stand Down Tennessee campus and see firsthand where veteran programs operate.

  • Hear from nonprofits about critical veteran needs – including housing, employment, mental health, and more.

  • Engage in discussion with program leaders and donors about gaps, opportunities, and impact.

  • Explore how your philanthropic support can strengthen services for veterans in Middle Tennessee.
