On February 14, 2018, 17 people were senselessly murdered in Parkland, Florida. After this horrific act, the students of Majory Stoneman Douglas High School decided that this epidemic of mass violence in our country can not go on.
March For Our Lives Nashvillle will parallel the march that these students are hosting on Saturday, March 24 in Washington, DC in order to draw attention to this nationwide issue. The students, teachers, and families in America are calling for legislative support to protect ourselves, our children, our families, and our friends.
However, we can not march without your support! We need to raise funds to secure the necessary logistics for March For Our Lives Nashville (ie speakers, permits, security, trash receptacles, etc.) so that the 5,000 or more participants we anticipate attending the march can feel both safe and inspired. We are seeking donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations to support the March for Our Lives Nashville Fund.
