Food

Issues of hunger are broader than the next meal or the next food basket. Those harsh realities are critical and must be addressed, but they are the “symptoms,” not the “disease.” The Fund for Food Security is about the bigger issues, about working toward a community where people need no longer fear or worry about where their next meal is coming from. It’s about feeling secure enough that you don’t have to worry about food; you can worry about your job and your life. The Fund supports organizations actively addressing food-related efforts, including educating the public about the relationship between food, nutrition and health; encouraging proper food distribution; and addressing the root causes of hunger and food insecurity.
