With a background in business, fundraising, and teaching, Scott is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of The Community Foundation.
He enjoys regularly engaging and interfacing with all constituents – Trustees, nonprofit executives, Foundation team members, donors, and other stakeholders. Scott monitors the daily operations with a focus on program management, improvement of the systems that support CFMT’s work, public relations, and is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with donors and affiliates, especially in the surrounding counties.
Scott has much nonprofit experience, including board development, strategic planning, and advancement, both professionally and in varying volunteer capacities.
Prior to coming to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, Scott served as Athletic Director and as Director of Alumni and Development at Montgomery Bell Academy for 14 years, after 12 years in private business.
