The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee Seeks Scholarship Applicants
Application Deadline March 15
Nashville, Tenn. – The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, a charitable organization benefiting nonprofits in 40 Middle Tennessee counties, announces its annual scholarship application process and invites students to apply by March 15, 2010.
The Community Foundation oversees more than 60 scholarship funds. Whether a student is studying law, horticulture, chiropractic medicine or musical composition; planning a career in criminal justice or dentistry; or studying at a technical school or four-year university, The Community Foundation’s scholarship program offers opportunities for hundreds of students from various backgrounds and communities.
Over the years, The Community Foundation has invested more than $6 million in education through the scholarship program.
“Getting an education is one of the most important milestones in life, but for many, comes with a great burden,” said Ellen Lehman, president of The Community Foundation. “We feel honored to help students receive a quality education made possible by donors who wish to make a difference. The Community Foundation is proud to connect generosity with need in this way.”
