Jeffrey Steele, Keith Anderson, Sebastian Bach, Billy Dean and Others Raise Money for Scholarship Program

Concert in Memory of Alex LeVasseur

Nashville, TN– The Alex LeVasseur Memorial Scholarship Program presents Jeffrey Steele & Friends, an intimate evening with Jeffrey Steele and various music artists at Rocketown in Nashville, on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. Artists slated to perform live with Jeffrey Steele and his band include, Keith Anderson, Sebastian Bach, Billy Dean, LoCash Cowboys, and other special guests. Concert tickets went on sale February 2 at www.nowplayingnashville.com.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Alex LeVasseur Memorial Scholarship Program, which helps over-looked and underprivileged youth in Nashville by motivating them in school and in life, and Rocketown which provides a safe, alcohol and drug free environment for youth to enjoy concerts, classes, videogames and skateboarding.

Jeffrey Steele and family created the Alex LeVasseur Memorial Scholarship Program at The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, in conjunction with Rocketown/Sixth Avenue Skate Park in Nashville, after Steele’s 13-year-old son passed away January 28, 2007, in a tragic accident. Steele and his family are very involved with this program, which has already made a significant impact on its participants.

This intimate event will include table seating, with a limited VIP section. VIP tables are $1500.00; remaining tables are $1000.00; limited single seats are available for $100 each. Wine and hors‘d oeuvres will be served.

Live and silent auctions will include items such as autographed guitars, golf packages, items from John Rich, a signed Predators jersey, a custom made guitar, and much more.

This is the first of two events the LeVasseur family puts on each year in memory of Alex. The second is an outdoor skate and music festival, which is scheduled June 28, 2009. For more info on the event and scholarship program please visit www.rememberalex.com.

About Jeffrey Steele - www.jeffreysteele.com
Songwriter, artist and producer Jeffrey Steele has become a Music Row fixture--one of contemporary country's most beloved characters. Today's top selling artists have come to trust the energetic songwriter with the easy, infectious grin. Rascal Flatts, LeAnn Rimes, Montgomery Gentry, Gretchen Wilson, Pat Green, Trace Adkins, Tim McGraw and numerous others have all turned to the two-time BMI Songwriter of the Year for a hit or two. Steele's own impassioned performances make him a constant favorite at songwriter festivals and his own full band gigs, where his rugged, boisterous vocals breathe new life both into songs made famous by the stars and other tunes that are patently his.
