Nelson Andrews to Receive 2007 Joe Kraft Humanitarian Award

One person can make a difference or, in the case of Nelson Andrews, dozens of them.
That is why the Committee which oversees the Joe Kraft Humanitarian Award selected Nelson as its 2007 Recipient.
With Nelson, no mission is impossible. He understands the power of one and the power of many, moving others along toward solutions we need for issues we may not yet realize we have.
Over the years, Nelson has helped make the most of civic opportunities such as “liquor by the drink,” creation of an airport authority, Metro Government, Children’s Hospital, the Better Business Bureau, Leadership Nashville, the Davidson Group, Nashville’s Agenda, Nashville Alliance for Public Education and GivingMatters.com. Seemingly, no project was too daunting!
We hope you will be able to join in thanking Nelson for his visionary leadership and tireless devotion to our community at lunch on November 20, 2007 at the Loews’ Vanderbilt Plaza beginning at 11:30 a.m. Middle Tennessee is truly a better place because Nelson – and Joe Kraft – decided to call it home!
