Chef Dan Cooks for a Cause Caffé Nonna’s owner and head chef, Dan Maggipinto, has extended his passion for cooking beyond the award-winning Nashville eatery to support a cause very close his heart – shedding light on childhood brain cancer and helping fund research to fight it.
At the tender age of seven months, his daughter, Zoë, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive tumor in 2001, and Dan became all too familiar with the fight many families face. Despite the challenges, he is forever grateful to those committed to conquering such illness, giving hope to countless families.
Donating sales from his signature Caffé Nonna’s marinara sauce to the Zoe Marie Brain Tumor Research Advised Fund of The Community Foundation in his daughter’s memory, Dan is dedicated to creating a legacy for Zoe and giving others a chance against childhood illness.
