The Brooks Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee Names New Board Members

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Brooks Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has appointed eight new board members as the group continues its mission to encourage the inclusion, acceptance and recognition of Middle Tennessee’s GLBT community. The following community leaders will serve terms from 2012 to 2015: Adam Barnes, Steve Bianchi, Caroline Blackwell, Roger Gore, Shelly Steel, Susan Taylor, Maryglenn Warnock, and John Winnett.

Scott Ridgway will continue to serve as chairman for The Brooks Fund advisory board. Pam Sheffer and Stephanie Barger are also returning officers, as vice-chair and secretary, respectively. Other returning board members include: Anthony Barton, Jeremy Davis, Jason Facio, Amos Gott, Todd Grantham, Janie Kleiman, Miguel Otero, Amy Parker, Pat Patrick, Ellen Pryor, Randy Silcox, Nancy VanReece, Cynthia Warner-Brown, and Keith Wright.

“Each new board member for The Brooks Fund brings incredible talent and strong drive,” said Ridgway. “By engaging new leaders, The Brooks Fund will grow its awareness and capacity to support Middle Tennessee nonprofits improving quality of life for the GLBT community and building alliances among the community as a whole.”
